Are you a vigilant and responsible individual seeking a unique opportunity? If you are, this could be the job for you.
We\’re looking for dedicated Overnight Security Guard / Night Shift Security Officer to join a well-established company based in Eversley, Hampshire.
You will be required to carry out regular patrols during the night shift. However, you\’ll also have time to sleep as well.
SALARY: £12.42 per Hour during active time on shift. 33% sleeping rate during prescribed section of each shift / works out around £1,128.83 per month gross for part-time hours. Each shift is a minimum of £100 per day.
LOCATION: Eversley, Hampshire (Candidates MUST live local).
JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Permanent.
SHIFTS: Five overnights per fortnight; plus, cover when available; plus, share of shifts over festive season.
Week A
- Overnight Tuesday starting at 6.15pm and finishing at 8am Wednesday
- Overnight Wednesday starting at 6.15pm and finishing at 8am Thursday
- Overnight Thursday starting at 6.15pm and finishing at 8am Friday
Week B
- Overnight Tuesday starting at 6.15pm and finishing at 8am Wednesday
- Overnight Wednesday starting at 6.15pm and finishing at 8am Thursday
Please note that all overnight shifts include active duty time and a minimum of 8 hours rest time, on-site, on-call time with good quality quarters for resting time.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates MUST be comfortable around large dogs as you\’ll be working with two Alsatians.
Job Overview
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Overnight Security Guard / Night Shift Security Officer who is vigilant, responsible with great time-management skills.
If you\’ve previously worked in Security, then great. But if not, don\’t worry; the company will provide full training and support to get you up to speed. However, you will need to be comfortable around large dogs, not afraid of the dark, and happy to work alone once trained up (although you will have the dogs with you for company during the night shift).
Working as the Overnight Security Guard / Night Shift Security Officer, you\’ll play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and security of the site and premises through regular patrols. Don\’t worry, though; while vigilance is key, the shift also allows for downtime and rest periods.
If you\’re comfortable working alongside canine companions, you\’ll thrive here, as you\’ll be partnered with two trained Alsatians who will support you on your patrols.

DURING BREAK PERIODS
For breaks during the evening, there is a comfortable interior space when you are not patrolling, with access to a kitchen with kettle, toaster, oven, and microwave.
For sleeping, there is a double bedroom and there is also a well-appointed bathroom.
Officers are required to bring their own bedding and food. There is a full height locker per officer within the accommodation and plenty of storage space in the shared kitchen.
The company provides tea, coffee, and milk for all staff on the day team and night team.

DUTIES
Once trained, your duties as the Overnight Security Guard / Night Shift Security Officer include:
- Carry out security duties and working with the security dogs at the premises
- Conduct regular patrols with the security dogs in line with the training and documentation provided
- Contribute to the dogs training programme in line with company policy and care for the Company dogs while you are on duty
- Learn how to operate various locking and alarm systems and follow a lock down and open up routine accurately
- Take on-site responsibility seriously, remaining vigilant and responsive when not out on patrol and to monitor CCTV during your breaks in active duty
- Can react in an emergency and notify emergency services and others
