About the Supply Chain Team: Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, this is an exciting opportunity to lead a small but highly influential Supply Chain team at the heart of the business. Working closely with Customer Service, Operations, Production, Logistics, and Finance, you will play a key role in shaping how the organisation plans, collaborates, and delivers.

Main Purpose of the Role: We are seeking a proactive, commercially minded, and hands-on Supply Chain Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and embraces change. This role is ideal for a self-driven individual who can quickly get to grips with current ways of working, bring a fresh pair of eyes to existing processes, and lead improvements that enhance efficiency, visibility, and performance.

What We're Looking For: We'd love to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in production planning and capacity planning, with the ability to turn customer demand into practical and achievable operational plans.
  • Strong hands-on experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central particularly within purchasing, inventory management, production planning, or stock control.
  • A naturally curious, improvement-focused mindset with confidence to challenge the status quo and implement meaningful change.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and identify opportunities to improve business performance.
  • Strong commercial awareness including supplier negotiations, cost management and contract administration.
  • Experience with overseas sourcing, import requirements and supplier compliance.
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills with a knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Previous leadership experience with the ability to motivate, support and develop a small team.
  • Supply chain experience gained within a manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or operational environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and continuously improve the end-to-end supply chain planning cycle, aligning to business priorities.
  • Drive demand forecasting, inventory management and material availability.
  • Ensure purchasing activity aligns with service expectations, production requirements, and cost objectives.
  • Create greater visibility of workload, capacity constraints and supply risks.
  • Champion effective use of Microsoft Business Central to automate processes and improve data quality.
  • Review workflows with a fresh perspective and implement measurable improvements.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify bottlenecks and transform processes for greater efficiency.
  • Maintain robust supplier, import, compliance, and governance controls, including ESG, CBAM, ADD, and audit requirements where applicable.
  • Lead, coach and support the Supply Chain team while driving a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Act as a positive and visible leader who builds trust, encourages teamwork, and helps drive change across the wider business.
