Altus Partners is delighted to be supporting a highly acquisitive Mid Market fund in its search for an Investment Manager to join their London team. With a strong track record of backing high-growth businesses, the firm has deployed significant capital across a diverse portfolio spanning multiple industries. This role provides the opportunity to work alongside an experienced investment team, where you will be leading several key work streams in the execution of new investments while gaining exposure to the full investment lifecycle. It is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a leading fund.

THE ROLE:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the firm’s existing portfolio to identify new investment opportunities.
  • Conduct market research and sector reviews to support origination strategies.
  • Engage directly with entrepreneurs, advisors, and intermediaries to assess investment opportunities.
  • Support senior investment professionals in evaluating and executing transactions.
  • Prepare investment papers, financial models, and valuation analyses to support decision-making.
  • Attend and contribute to marketing events and networking opportunities.
  • Monitor existing investments and assist in value creation initiatives.

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Buyside deal experience, having spent several years at a LMM / MM fund.
  • Strong academic background, with an advanced professional qualification (e.g. ACA, CFA) being desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent commercial judgment and understanding of SME growth dynamics.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a small, collaborative team.
  • Strong relationship management and business development abilities.
  • High attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
