Altus Partners is retained on a new search for a Deputy CFO – Wealth Management, to join an acquisitive, Private Equity backed UK Wealth Management business. As Finance Director, you will act as a true number 2 to the CFO and play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy, ensuring robust financial management and providing critical support to M&A growth initiatives. The opportunity will be a broad, all-encompassing senior finance role with a key focus on commercials and strategy, working with senior leaders to achieve an exit in the next three years.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the CFO with data and key MI for the private equity investors, ensuring transparent and timely communication on financial updates, performance reports, and strategic initiatives.
- Manage relationships with the Company’s banks, debt providers and private equity shareholders, and ensure regular and open communication with senior stakeholders on key matters.
- Manage cash flow, treasury, capital expenditure, and working capital to optimize financial performance.
- Oversight and ownership of quality of outputs across all workflows.
- Present the quarterly financial reporting to lenders, alongside the CEO and CFO.
- Business Partner with business unit leaders and regional CEOs to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
- Support long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Requirements:
- Financial Services/FCA regulated industry experience.
- Practical experience with debt funds (Essential).
- Treasury/Banking relationships (Essential).
- Private Equity exposure.
- Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
- Ideally from an audit/practice background.
- Experience in working for a high-growth/“entrepreneurial” business is highly beneficial.
