The Altus Education Partnership was formed in 2017 by the governing body of Rochdale Sixth Form College, an Ofsted outstanding college, currently with around 1900 students. The College opened in 2010 and since then it has raised achievement in the area dramatically, regularly being one of the highest performing colleges in the country.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Learning Support Officer, who is keen to continuously improve the classroom experience of our students. RSFC has an excellent reputation, and this is a real opportunity for you to make your mark. Clearly, working at RSFC will be demanding. The Role
As a Learning Support Officer, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and group support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Chaperone and care for vulnerable students throughout the day
- Assist with personal care, including toileting, where required
- Support students in developing study skills, confidence, and independence
- Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies
- Play an active role in creating a calm and productive study environment

- Able to adapt to the needs of different learners
- A positive role model who encourages independence and celebrates student success
- Ideally experienced in an educational support setting (though not essential)
