The Altus Education Partnership was formed in 2017 by the governing body of Rochdale Sixth Form College, an Ofsted outstanding college, currently with around 1900 students. The College opened in 2010 and since then it has raised achievement in the area dramatically, regularly being one of the highest performing colleges in the country.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Learning Support Officer, who is keen to continuously improve the classroom experience of our students. RSFC has an excellent reputation, and this is a real opportunity for you to make your mark. Clearly, working at RSFC will be demanding. The Role
As a Learning Support Officer, you will:
- Provide tailored academic and personal care support to students with a variety of learning and physical needs.
- Deliver 1:1 and small group academic support, helping students to develop independence and confidence.
- Support classroom learning and help adapt resources in liaison with teaching staff.
- Work within the Achievement Centre to maintain a focused and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide assistance with personal care, including toileting, where necessary.
Weβre looking for someone who:
- Holds GCSEs (Grade A*-C) in English and Maths (essential).
- Has experience supporting learners with SEN/ALN in an educational setting (desirable).
- Shows empathy, patience, and the ability to inspire self-esteem and independence in others.
- Is committed, reliable, flexible, and a true team player.
