A well-established, award-winning UK property consultancy with a 75-year heritage is seeking a Head of London to lead and drive the growth of its London Building Surveying team. Operating across the commercial, industrial and automotive sectors, the business combines national reach with genuine sector expertise, advising developers, landlords and occupiers on everything from technical due diligence to major project delivery. They have been recognised as a leading UK property consultancy and continue to build on that reputation in London.
This is a Partner level opportunity leading a team of 15 Building Surveyors across both professional services and project delivery. You'll work closely alongside their UK Head of Building Surveying, with a genuine seat at the table on strategy, growth and the day-to-day running of the London team.
The Role
- Lead, manage and develop a team of 15 Building Surveyors, spanning professional services and project delivery work
- Drive new business development, winning instructions across the commercial, industrial and automotive sectors
- Develop and grow relationships with existing clients across the London portfolio
- Work alongside the UK Head of Building Surveying to shape strategy and growth plans for the London team
- Take ownership of the overall performance and running of the London Building Surveying business
- Act as a senior mentor and role model, supporting the development of surveyors at all levels

The Successful Candidate
- MRICS qualified (Building Surveying pathway)
- Proven track record at Partner or Director level within Building Surveying
- Demonstrable success winning new business and developing existing client relationships
- Experience successfully leading and growing a Building Surveying team
- Sector experience across commercial, industrial and/or automotive assets (preferred)
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic mindset
- Excellent leadership and client-facing communication skills
