A multi-award-winning boutique commercial property consultancy is seeking a Director-level Building Surveyor, or an ambitious Associate Director ready to take the next step, to join its growing London team. Renowned for delivering high-quality advice to a blue-chip client base, the business acts for leading investors, pension funds, asset managers and property owners across a diverse range of commercial assets. This is an ideal opportunity for a commercially minded Building Surveyor looking for more than just technical delivery. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence strategy, develop client relationships and contribute directly to the continued growth of the consultancy.

The Role

As a senior member of the Building Consultancy team, you will work across the full spectrum of commercial Building Surveying services while taking an active role in client development and business growth. Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering a broad range of professional Building Surveying instructions
  • Undertaking Technical Due Diligence for acquisitions and disposals
  • Advising on Landlord & Tenant matters, including Dilapidations
  • Leading Project Management and Contract Administration commissions
  • Building and strengthening relationships with key clients and professional contacts
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities
  • Supporting the strategic growth and development of the Building Consultancy team
  • Mentoring and developing junior surveyors where appropriate

Working closely with the Directors and wider leadership team, you will play an integral role in helping drive the business forward.

The Successful Candidate

Currently operating at Associate Director or Director level. Strong experience across commercial Building Surveying disciplines. Proven ability to manage and develop client relationships. Commercially aware with an interest in business development. Ambitious, entrepreneurial and motivated by long-term career progression. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

This role is particularly well suited to an Associate Director within a larger commercial property consultancy seeking greater autonomy, influence and a clear pathway to Director level.
