Our client is a leading independent construction and property consultancy with a long-established reputation across the built environment. The business provides cost, project and infrastructure management services alongside specialist Principal Designer and CDM consultancy, working with a broad range of clients across the UK and internationally.
The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CDM Principal Designer to join the established London team in a managerial capacity. The role will combine hands-on Principal Designer delivery with responsibility for managing and developing members of the CDM team, supporting the growth of the service and maintaining strong client relationships. You will continue to lead on a portfolio of high-profile projects whilst taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of the team, including workload planning, performance, mentoring and professional development. This would suit an established Senior CDM Consultant, Principal Designer or Associate-level professional looking to take the next step into a genuine management position.
About You:
- Significant experience delivering Principal Designer and/or CDM consultancy services
- Strong knowledge of the CDM2015 and experience managing design risk across complex projects
- Proven experience working directly with clients and senior project stakeholders
- Previous experience managing, mentoring or developing other professionals
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent / Diploma preferable
- Membership of APS, IOSH or another relevant professional body
- Experience within a construction or property consultancy environment
