I’m working with a growing cost consultancy in London that is looking to bring an experienced Cost Consultant into the team.
This is an opportunity for someone who has built a solid foundation in cost management and is now looking for a role where they can take ownership of projects rather than simply being another pair of hands.
Cost Consultant | Quantity Surveyor
You’ll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, providing cost management advice from the early stages of a project through to completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Feasibility studies and initial cost advice
- Cost planning and cost management
- Preparing and reviewing estimates
- Tender documentation and tender analysis
- Contract administration
- Valuations and payment assessments
- Cost reporting
- Change management
- Final accounts
- Attending client and project meetings
- Building and maintaining client relationships
You’ll work across a diverse project portfolio covering sectors such as:
Healthcare | Commercial | Offices | Life Sciences | Retail | Fitness & Wellbeing | Fit-Out
This is a particularly good opportunity if you enjoy having variety in your workload and don't want to spend your career working on the same type of project.
What are they looking for?
They’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Consultant with consultancy experience who can confidently contribute to projects and communicate with clients and wider project teams.
You’ll ideally have:
- Quantity Surveying / Cost Management experience
- Consultancy experience
- Good pre and post-contract knowledge
- Good communication and client-facing skills
- A desire to continue progressing professionally
MRICS is advantageous, but the business is also interested in strong candidates who are working towards chartership.
