The Opportunity
We are working with a well-established, design-led building surveying consultancy based in Central London, delivering high-quality building surveying advice across commercial, high-value residential and hotel projects. Due to continued growth in bank-funded instructions, they are now looking to appoint a Senior/Associate Building Surveyor to strengthen their project delivery capability. This role offers genuine flexibility, strong earning potential, and a clear focus on project and contract administration work.
The Building Surveyor Role
You will be responsible for delivering a predominantly project-led workload (circa 70%), acting as Contract Administrator on schemes typically valued up to Β£2m, alongside a smaller proportion of professional services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Project delivery and Contract Administration (JCT) from inception to completion
- Managing bank-funded projects, including monitoring and reporting
- Delivering projects across commercial, high-end residential and hotel sectors
- Leading consultant teams and managing client relationships
- Managing variations, valuations, progress meetings and final accounts
- Contributing to fee generation and commercial performance
Working Pattern
- 3 days per week split between office and site
- 2 guaranteed work-from-home days
