Altura Search has been exclusively retained by The King's Cross Group to appoint an Associate Building Surveyor to work client-side on one of London's most iconic estates.
King's Cross is 67 acres of prime central London real estate, home to Google, Meta, AstraZeneca, Universal Music and Nike, and one of the most ambitious and successful regeneration projects in Europe.
This is a genuine opportunity to step client-side. Rather than advising from the consultancy side, you'll own the estate's most technically challenging building matters, sitting at the heart of the business alongside Asset Management, Operations and Legal.
The Role
- Taking ownership of the estate's most complex technical matters, from diagnosis through to completion
- Setting the brief, shaping the scope and appointing the right consultant team
- Leading and challenging consultants and Tier 1 contractors
- Controlling budgets, cashflow and commercial risk
- Acting as the trusted technical adviser to Asset Management
- Supporting wider capital projects across the estate
The Successful Associate Building Surveyor
- 5+ years' post-qualification experience
- A strong technical, defects-led consultancy background
- Solid Contract Administration and project delivery experience
- Confident holding consultants and contractors to account
- Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets and risk
