Our client is a leading global vendor in the network security space. The Sales Engineer is responsible for shaping and delivering technical strategy throughout the sales cycle to support revenue growth, customer success, and solution adoption. This role requires a highly skilled technical professional with a strong background in cybersecurity and a passion for solving complex challenges. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with consultative engagement skills and a collaborative approach, positioning the organisation as a trusted advisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Educate customers and partners on modern security technologies and the evolving threat landscape.
- Build strong, consultative relationships to align solutions with customer business and technical objectives.
- Identify security challenges within customer environments and engage effectively with both technical and executive stakeholders.
- Articulate the organisation's value proposition, product direction, and strategy to audiences ranging from engineers to senior leadership.
- Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations, both remotely and on-site, in collaboration with sales teams.
- Contribute to technical pre-sales activities by identifying, qualifying, and supporting opportunities through to close.
- Enable and collaborate with channel partners within a partner-led sales model.
- Manage proof-of-concept (POC) engagements, including test planning, configuration, and issue resolution during evaluations.
- Assist in developing and maintaining POC environments aligned with account objectives and resource capacity.
Experience required
- 5+ years' experience in cybersecurity, including 5+ years in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting role with strong knowledge of networking and network security.
- Excellent technical aptitude with strong presentation and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate across distributed, global teams.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and customer-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Experience translating customer requirements into best-practice technical solutions.
- Adaptable and resilient in fast-paced, changing environments.
- Comfortable taking initiative, managing multiple priorities, and meeting tight deadlines.
- Vendor or reseller background considered.
