Senior Group Accountant
A successful and forward-thinking and scaling publicly listed business is seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to join its growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified ACA with hands-on experience in an industry role or someone looking for their first move from a top tier accounting firm. A newly created role due to business expansion, this role will report to the Group Financial Controller with clear progression already mapped out for the next two years!
What you'll be doing:
- Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and support a smooth month-end close
- Assist with statutory reporting and act as a key contact for external auditors
- Support with Annual Report writing
- Deliver high-quality balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls
- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide insight and add value to commercial decision-making
- Play a valuable role in improving systems and processes as the business continues to evolve, particularly around data, AI and creating efficiencies.
What we're looking for:
- ACA qualified, ideally from a Big 4 or Top 10 firm
- Solid grounding in IFRS or UK GAAP
- Experience working in industry or straight from practice.
- A collaborative approach and a desire to make a meaningful contribution to the team
- Highly desirable nit essential: An interest in how tech/AI can support finance
- Highly desirable, not essential: Experience of the Cyber Security sector
- Strong Excel skills and a practical, solutions-focused mindset
