Altum Consulting are partnering with a distinctive and established British business that is expanding its successful People and Organisation Consulting practice. Headquartered in London, with offices across the UK, our client is uniquely positioned in the market and globally recognised. This role focuses on applying specialist expertise to deliver a range of client projects across areas such as Operating Model, Organisation Design & Governance, Culture, Transformation & Change, and Talent & Capability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead consulting or in-house projects focused on Target Operating Model design and organisational development, as well as one or more specialist areas such as team effectiveness and collaboration, leadership and capability development, culture and organisational change, or organisational due diligence and assurance.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality client proposals, demonstrating a strong understanding of client needs and effectively leveraging expertise from across multi-disciplinary teams within the firm.
  • Apply strong commercial and analytical skills to assess business challenges, generate insights, and identify opportunities for value creation and organisational improvement.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop practical, evidence-based solutions to complex organisational challenges.
  • Plan and manage project activities, timelines, and resources to ensure successful delivery.
  • Work closely with client stakeholders to understand priorities, gather insights, and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Support business development by identifying opportunities, contributing to proposals, and preparing materials for client presentations.
  • Design and facilitate organisational diagnostics and workshops, using data and insights to inform recommendations.
  • Analyse and report on organisational structures, culture, and ways of working.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of consulting tools, methodologies, and thought leadership within the People & Organisation practice.
Education and Experience

Typically, a first degree and/or extensive experience in people and change consulting, organisational design, transformation, or related fields. Typically, 4-6+ years of experience in a consulting environment.

Key Capabilities
  • Proven experience in operating model design, organisation development, culture, and change.
  • Have leadership experience in a consulting or in-house environment on Target Operating Model & organisation development, and one or more of the following technical areas (team effectiveness & collaboration, leadership & capability, culture & organisational change, due diligence/organisation assurance).
  • Have the capability in developing business proposals for clients, by understanding client requirements and drawing collectively expertise from across a multi-disciplinary firm.
  • Strong commercial understanding and analytical skills.
  • Experience managing projects with attention to quality, delivery, and risk.
  • Ability to build strong client relationships and collaborate effectively across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Structured and creative approach to problem-solving, even in complex or ambiguous situations.
  • Collaborative working style that supports innovation, shared learning, and teamwork.
Desired
  • Experience in organisational readiness (e.g. research methodologies, job analysis, assessment, training needs analysis, training design and delivery, project management).
  • Experience in one or more of the following sectors: Manufacturing, Rail, Highways, Energy, Aviation, and/or Water.
