As the business continues to scale, they are looking for an ambitious UK Financial Controller to take ownership of the UK finance function and play a key role in strengthening financial operations, controls and reporting.
Reporting into the Group Financial Controller based in Europe, this is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders across the business while supporting continued growth and operational excellence.
The Role
This is a hands-on Financial Controller position suited to a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
You will have responsibility for the UK entity, ensuring accurate reporting, robust controls and effective financial processes.

This could be an excellent opportunity for a strong Senior Finance Manager or Finance Lead who is ready to take ownership of a finance function and broaden their leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the UK finance function and oversee day-to-day financial operations.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare accurate management accounts and statutory reporting.
- Maintain strong financial controls, including balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards, VAT and tax requirements.
- Manage external audit processes and relationships with advisors.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
- Partner with teams across the business to provide commercial financial insight.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, systems and reporting.
- Collaborate with the wider international finance team.
- Support the development and growth of the finance function as the business scales.
About You
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong technical accounting skills and experience operating in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.
You will ideally have
- ACA or CA qualification, top 10 audit trained.
- Strong technical accounting skills and experience owning month-end processes.
- Experience improving processes and implementing efficiencies (looking for someone tech-forward and focused on automating processes with AI).
- Exposure to regulated entities (fintech, banking, or public disclosure etc).
- Strong knowledge of UK statutory reporting and financial controls.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships across a business.
- The ambition and capability to step into a broader role within the business.
