We are partnering with a UK-based scientific research organisation working across a diverse portfolio of programmes and initiatives to hire an inquisitive and proactive Interim Programme Finance Manager. The Programme Finance Manager will join the team in May and support the team during a period of transition with the possibility of going permanent. The role combines core programme finance activities with contribution to selected organisational priorities led by the CFO.
Key Responsibilities
- Support ongoing financial monitoring and reporting across a range of programmes
- Work with Programme Directors to provide insight into financial performance and variances
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking activities
- Contribute to financial processes linked to programme delivery and post-award management
- Maintain and develop regular reporting outputs, ensuring accuracy and consistency of data
- Respond to finance-related queries and support users of internal systems
- Help ensure high standards of financial data quality and documentation
Special Projects (20%)
- Support development and review of internal governance and audit documentation
- Contribute to the implementation of organisational policies and controls
- Assist with reporting and tracking related to compliance and governance areas
