Junior Project Manager
London
Hybrid (3 days a week)
£400-£450 per day (Inside IR35)
Altum Consulting are partnering with a large, complex consumer business to recruit a highly organised project professional to support a busy operational function.
This role will suit someone who is comfortable working across multiple teams, managing critical paths and senior stakeholder activity, and bringing structure to a fast-moving environment. There is also a strong focus on improving existing ways of working, including identifying opportunities to use AI and automation to drive greater efficiency.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain critical paths across multiple workstreams.
- Coordinate senior stakeholder meetings and governance activity.
- Track actions and ensure deadlines and follow-ups are managed effectively.
- Prepare presentations, meeting packs and supporting materials.
- Improve communication across interdependent teams.
- Review existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
- Support wider operational and programme activity as required.
What we're looking for:

- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, responsive working style.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Experience supporting process improvement or transformation activity.
- An interest in using AI and emerging technology to improve productivity.
Previous experience within retail operations or a similar operational programme environment would be beneficial, but is not essential. The priority is someone who can quickly understand a complex environment, bring structure and keep activity moving.
