A well-established charity is seeking an Interim Finance Assistant to support its finance team on a short-term assignment of approximately 3 months. This role will focus primarily on income processing and day-to-day finance administration, while also assisting with wider transactional finance duties as required. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team and help ensure financial operations continue to run smoothly during a busy period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing financial transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Raising invoices and supporting accounts receivable activities
  • Posting bank transactions and assisting with reconciliations
  • Supporting cash and banking processes
  • Managing finance-related queries via shared inboxes
  • Assisting with general finance administration and transactional finance tasks
  • Providing support across income and expenditure processes when required

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience working within a finance or accounts function
  • Strong attention to detail and good numeracy skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Experience using finance systems or CRM platforms would be beneficial but is not essential.

Contract Details

  • Day rate: £150-£170 per day
  • Hybrid working arrangement - 2 days in the office
