Altum Consulting are partnering with a national charity supporting vulnerable communities to seek an experienced Interim Head of Finance on a 9-month FTC to lead its finance function during a key transition period. This is a pivotal role, responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity and compliance of financial data, while driving collaboration, insight, and continuous improvement across the organisation. You will lead a small team and act as a trusted business partner to senior leaders, enabling effective decision-making and strong financial stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop the finance team to deliver accurate, timely, and insightful reporting.
- Oversee financial management including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with tax, VAT, and PAYE regulations.
- Produce monthly management accounts with meaningful variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Strengthen financial controls and ensure all statutory and audit requirements are met.
- Partner with teams across the organisation to improve financial understanding and accountability.
- Oversee group accounting and consolidation, including the review of a trading subsidiary.
- Support operational areas such as property, health.
