Altum Consulting are recruiting for a Group Financial Controller to join a growing Media business in central London. The successful candidate will join the senior leadership team becoming immediately influential in the future decision making across the group. This role will suit an experienced and energetic Group Financial Controller who can commit to a 12 month FTC.

Role:

  • Manage, lead and motivate a high-quality finance team of 12 (3 direct reports)
  • Provide clear consolidated reporting of Group results to senior stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with business and process owners and operational finance leads to continually improve financial reporting process.
  • Responsible for the effective planning and completion of the Group audit process, including key Group judgements, also providing support to the local audit process.
  • Triage reporting questions and support requests from around the Group.
  • Develop processes to deliver accurate, compliant and documented reporting solutions to stakeholders.
  • Ensure all Group financial controls are performed accurately and evidenced in compliance with the Group’s Control Framework.
  • Adhoc project work.

You’ll be/have

  • A Qualified Accountant (ACA/CA) with significant experience in a Group Financial Controller role.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles (IFRS) and robust financial accounting processes and controls.
  • Proven experience in leading, coaching and developing finance teams enabling succession plans for each role and operational effectiveness to the highest professional standards.
  • Commercially minded and already have a demonstrable track record of broad financial leadership in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exposure to external stakeholders.
