Altum Consulting are recruiting for an experienced FP&A Manager to join an established Technology business as they embark on a group wide transformation programme. This is initially a 6-month contract, with strong potential to become a permanent position as the transformation progresses and the business continues to grow.
As FP&A Manager, you will work closely with senior leadership to design and implement a robust FP&A operating model as part of a broader transformation programme. You will act as a trusted finance partner, providing insight, analysis, and recommendations that enable the business to make informed strategic decisions.
You will combine commercial acumen with technical excellence, taking ownership of financial modelling, scenario planning, and forecasting processes. The role requires someone who can understand the business at a granular level, identify drivers of performance, and translate complex data into actionable insight for senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Design and implement a new FP&A operating model to support the finance transformation programme
- Partner with business leaders to provide commercial insight, challenge assumptions, and influence decision-making
- Develop advanced financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic initiatives and operational planning
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes, ensuring accuracy and insight
- Analyse business performance, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Support senior leadership with investment decisions, ROI analysis, and resource allocation
- Streamline reporting processes and ensure consistent, high-quality financial information is available to stakeholders
- Act as a finance business partner to operational and commercial teams across the business
- Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CA)
- Significant experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or finance business partnering within a complex business
- Proven track record of designing and implementing FP&A operating models, preferably within a transformation context
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence and partner effectively with senior leaders
- Exceptional financial modelling and Excel skills; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other analytics tools is a plus
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and managing multiple priorities
