Altum Consulting are seeking a commercially focused FP&A Director to lead financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision support across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
  • Deliver insightful financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making
  • Partner closely with commercial, operations, and regional teams to drive performance
  • Provide detailed variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) with clear recommendations
  • Build and maintain robust financial models, including scenario and sensitivity analysis
  • Support pricing, margin optimisation, and cost control initiatives
  • Develop KPIs relevant to hospitality/retail operations (e.g., like-for-like sales, footfall, labour cost ratios)
  • Produce high-quality reporting packs for senior leadership and board-level stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and reporting automation

Qualifications & Experience

  • Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Minimum 4+ years post-qualified experience (PQE) in FP&A or commercial finance
  • Experience in hospitality, retail, or multi-site consumer-facing businesses strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of business partnering with non-finance stakeholders
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical capability
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth or operationally complex environment
