For Companies Altum Consulting are working with an established retail company to recruit a Financial Controller position based in Central London. This role is 12-month FTC offering strong progression potential within a stable and fast-paced business. Applying candidates must be available on a short notice period.
Financial Controller role:
- Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the business
- Prepare and present accurate monthly and annual financial reporting packs
- Ensure all reporting complies with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Implement and maintain robust financial processes and internal controls
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Provide financial analysis to support business decisions
- Business partner with key stakeholders across operations, buying, and marketing
- Drive process improvements and support systems upgrades where necessary
- Mentor and manage a small finance team
As a Financial Controller you will have:
- A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience working within the retail or consumer goods industry
- A commercial mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities
- Proven experience implementing controls and driving financial improvement
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Available to start on a short notice period
