This Finance Manager position is an exciting opportunity to join a large non-profit organisation during an exciting period of growth. This role would be pivotal in providing accurate and timely financial reporting and planning for the organisation, managing a small team and delivering key development and change across policy and procedures as their growth continues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing statutory reporting and delivering both quarterly and yearly accounts prep under Charity SORP.
  • Managing 1 staff member overseeing the income and fund reporting of the charity.
  • Leading the external audits and supporting the Head of Financial Accounts in relevant information gathering.
  • Planning for year-end including delivery of accurate and timely reporting.
  • Completing the month-end accounting.
  • Analysing the consolidated accounts, delivering strong reporting.
  • Advising on correct VAT treatment for relevant departments.
  • Liaising with relevant internal stakeholders ensuring accurate and timely posting across multiple systems.
Person Specification
  • A fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA) - Finalist may be considered alongside charity experience.
  • Experience of working in a charity setting is essential.
  • Strong experience in financial accounting including statutory reporting (Charity SORP).
  • Experience of supervising or managing staff previously.
  • A proactive and ambitious mindset with ability to analyse data.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to work with various stakeholders.
