A Global Infrastructure Consulting firm is currently growing their Defence Procurement and Commercial team. As an organisation, they support global businesses to design and deliver complex transformation programmes. They are recruiting across Bristol, Reading, London, Portsmouth, and Plymouth for Commercial / Procurement Managers, Senior Managers, and Associate Directors. They are one of the leading providers of consulting services to the Infrastructure, Natural Resources, Government and Real Estate sectors, among others, and ranked highly on the Sunday Times Top Track 250.
Their Commercial and Procurement team, in this sector, supports iconic and household names across Central Government and Defence. They currently sit at around 300 people nationwide and are growing due to increased client demand, an improved value proposition, and a business strategy that prioritises growth.
Responsibilities- Developing and delivering business cases, commercial strategies, and contract approaches that align with cost efficiency and evolving regulatory changes.
- Contract Management and monitoring and bid and tender evaluation, aimed at delivering enduring value-for-money solutions.
- Improving supplier performance issues, successes, and contractual risk.
- Managing complex, business critical or strategically important negotiations.
- Development and implementation of effective contract and supplier management strategies and processes to extract maximum value for clients.
- Innovation and sustainable procurement and supply chain methodologies.
- Commercial, Procurement or Supply Chain Graduate Schemes or related roles.
- Experience in another consulting firm, the defence industry, or either the wider public sector or other asset-intensive industries.
- Security clearance or eligibility for security clearance.
- Procurement or commercial related qualifications.
- Experience working with internal stakeholders or external clients on high calibre and complex procurement or commercial programmes.
- Open to a hybrid working pattern.
Salaries are negotiable between £45,000 and £110,000 basic + package. Please only apply for this role if you are based in the UK, are eligible for Security Clearance which requires a UK passport, and have work experience in a permanent role.
