This is an excellent opportunity for an AML or Financial Crime professional looking to move further into

2nd Line Risk, Compliance Monitoring and Financial Crime Assurance , within a fast-paced and highly regulated payments environment.

You will be responsible for planning, delivering and reporting on compliance monitoring reviews across the business, providing independent assurance that Financial Crime controls are appropriately designed and operating effectively.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Delivering compliance monitoring testing against the annual monitoring plan.
  • Assessing the design and operational effectiveness of Financial Crime controls.
  • Conducting detailed testing and investigative reviews.
  • Producing clear, evidence-based monitoring reports.
  • Identifying control weaknesses, trends and root causes.
  • Working with stakeholders to agree appropriate remediation actions.
  • Tracking remediation through to completion.
  • Maintaining robust testing evidence and audit trails.
  • Supporting regulatory inspections and internal audit activity.
  • Making recommendations to strengthen and improve the Financial Crime control environment.

Key Requirements

Merchant acquiring experience would be particularly advantageous for this role.

1-3 years' experience within AML, Financial Crime or regulatory compliance.

  • Experience working within fintech & payments
  • Practical exposure to compliance monitoring/testing methodologies .
  • Strong analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written communication and report-writing ability.
  • The confidence to challenge stakeholders constructively.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple reviews/deadlines.
