Technical Accounting Manager - Interim / FTC
We are working with a well-established Media organisation in London that is looking for an experienced Technical Accounting Manager to support its Group Finance team through a busy year-end reporting and audit period.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused opportunity for a technically strong qualified accountant who can take ownership of complex IFRS accounting matters, support the year-end audit and drive improvements across financial reporting and controls.
We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who are immediately available or on a short notice period.
Key Responsibilities

Lead on complex IFRS accounting matters, preparing technical accounting papers and supporting key management judgements.

Coordinate year-end reporting deliverables and act as a key point of contact for external auditors.

Support the preparation and review of Group IFRS financial statements and annual report disclosures.

Strengthen financial reporting controls, including requirements relating to Provision 29 of the UK Corporate Governance Code.

Lead detailed balance sheet reviews, identifying risks, challenging balances and driving resolution of outstanding issues.

Work closely with senior finance stakeholders to ensure reporting deadlines are met and processes run efficiently.
About You

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

Strong technical IFRS knowledge and experience preparing accounting papers.

Proven experience managing year-end audits and preparing or reviewing Group financial statements.

Solid background in Group Reporting, Technical Accounting, Audit or Financial Control.

Experience reviewing balance sheets and improving financial controls.

Confident communicator, comfortable working with senior stakeholders and external auditors.

Proactive, organised and able to hit the ground running.

Immediately available or able to start at short notice.
Experience within a complex group structure or exposure to media and broadcasting would be advantageous, but is not essential.
