Altum Consulting are recruiting for an Interim Financial Accountant to join an expanding technology business based in central London. This role will suit a technically strong Big 4 trained qualified accountant to support across financial reporting, audit readiness, and technical accounting requirements. The successful candidate will provide technical accounting expertise and hands-on support across statutory reporting, audit processes, and financial statement preparation.
Role:
- Lead preparation of statutory financial statements under IFRS/GAAP.
- Prepare supporting disclosures, technical accounting papers, and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support monthly and year-end close processes.
- Act as a key point of contact for external auditors.
- Review and strengthen financial controls and reporting processes.
- Improve documentation and audit readiness across finance.
- Support implementation of best-practice accounting procedures within a scaling business.
- Partner with FP&A and wider finance teams to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects related to growth, systems, or transactions.
- Provide technical guidance to junior finance team members where required.
You'll be/have:
- Big 4 trained Accountant with strong audit background.
- Available immediately/short notice period.
- Significant experience preparing financial statements.
- Deep understanding of IFRS/UK/US GAAP.
- Hands-on audit experience with complex group structures.
- Strong technical accounting skills.
- Systems implementation or process improvement exposure.
