Accounts Payable Assistant | initial 3-month contract with potential to go permanent Altum Consulting is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant for a Central London based international organisation. We are considering immediately available candidates to start. Your Key Responsibilities: Receive, review, and verify invoices and payment requests Ensure proper approvals are obtained before processing payments Enter and maintain accurate records in the accounting system Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments Reconcile accounts payable transactions and vendor statements Assist in month-end closing processes Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal stakeholders Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements Support audits by providing documentation and reports as needed The ideal candidate should have: Minimum 6-12 month's hands-on experience with accounts payable, journal postings, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments or general month-end support.
