Accounts Payable Assistant (2+ years experience)
Location: London (Hybrid β office based Tuesdays & Thursdays)

We\βre partnering with a well-established business who are looking to hire an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to join their finance team. This role would suit someone with at least 2 years\β Accounts Payable experience who is confident taking ownership of the Accounts Payable function.
The role
Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will take ownership of day-to-day Accounts Payable responsibilities and act as a key point of contact for supplier queries.
Key responsibilities
- End-to-end processing of supplier invoices
- Matching, batching and coding invoices
- Ensuring invoices are coded correctly for VAT
- Managing high-volume payment runs
- Supplier statement reconciliations and query resolution
- Supporting month-end close, including accruals and reconciliations
- Assisting with process improvements and ad-hoc finance tasks
About you
- Minimum 2 years\β experience in an Accounts Payable role
- Good working knowledge of VAT, including checking VAT treatment on invoices
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Confident communicator with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Experience using accounting systems and solid Excel skills
