Immediately available candidates only

I'm currently partnering with a fast-growing technology business, that is undergoing significant finance transformation, with a focus on process automation and improving data quality.

They are looking for a Vendor Master Data Specialist to support a large-scale data cleansing project across their supplier database.

With approximately 2,000 vendors on their system, 1,300 of which have been uploaded with incomplete information, this individual will play a key role in ensuring supplier records are accurate, complete and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing existing vendor records and identifying missing or incomplete information.
  • Checking whether suppliers are still active and identifying records that can be deactivated.
  • Verifying supplier information and confirming its accuracy.
  • Contacting suppliers directly by telephone or email where information is missing or needs confirmation.
  • Updating the relevant information in the system.
  • Supporting the business in ensuring supplier records are complete and accurate ahead of the new system go-live.

Essential candidate requirements

  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.
  • Confidence communicating with external suppliers over the telephone.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with data administration, master data, accounts payable, supplier administration or similar transactional finance work would be beneficial.
  • Comfortable working through a high volume of records in a structured, process-driven environment.
