Altum is partnered with a medical membership organisation to recruit a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join its finance team during an exciting period of financial transformation. This is a senior and influential role, leading financial planning and business partnering across a £25m organisation and its two associated charities. Working closely with the Leadership Team and stakeholders across the organisation, you will lead on budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial modelling, while helping to improve financial understanding and decision-making across the wider business. With a new finance system already in place, this role will also play an important part in developing reporting, analysis and dashboards and maximising the value of the organisation's financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading business partnering across the organisation and its two associated charities
  • Leading the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, alongside longer-term financial planning and modelling
  • Working directly with the Leadership Team to provide financial insight, challenge and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
  • Leading organisational financial reporting and delivering clear presentations to senior stakeholders
  • Developing and improving financial analysis, reporting and dashboards
  • Maximising the use of the organisation's new finance system and supporting further systems development
  • Building financial confidence and literacy across the organisation through coaching, training and effective business partnering
  • Developing financial models to assess strategic opportunities, risks and different business scenarios
  • Reviewing the wider external environment to identify potential financial opportunities and threats
  • Supporting wider finance transformation projects and improvements to processes and ways of working

Person Specification

  • A fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA or equivalent)
  • Strong FP&A experience, including budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial modelling
  • Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills
  • Experience of working closely with senior leadership teams and influencing strategic decision-making
  • A strong business partner who can build effective relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Experience of financial transformation, systems development or improving reporting and analysis
  • A confident communicator who can translate complex financial information into clear and practical insight
  • Strong people management skills with a collaborative and values-led leadership style
  • Comfortable constructively challenging stakeholders while bringing people with them through change
