Altum Consulting are partnering with a large FMCG business in Central London to recruit a qualified Management Accountant for an initial 9-month FTC.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Produce detailed variance analysis and commentary against budget, forecast and prior-year performance
  • Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting processes
  • Partner with budget holders to review performance, forecasts, risks and opportunities
  • Support quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes
  • Track spend and provide financial analysis across key commercial and operational areas
  • Provide commercial insight and challenge to stakeholders to support effective decision-making and cost management
  • Support cash flow forecasting and wider financial reporting requirements
  • Maintain and improve forecasting models, reporting tools and dashboards
  • Contribute to finance transformation, process improvement and automation initiatives
  • Ensure reporting is completed in line with internal controls, accounting standards and audit requirements

About You

You will be a proactive and commercially minded Management Accountant who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced FMCG or consumer-facing environment and partnering with stakeholders outside of finance. You will be:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
  • At least 1 year of post-qualified experience
  • Strong management accounting and month-end experience
  • Experience of budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive approach to improving processes and ways of working
