A newly created Group Financial Accountant position within the Head Office finance team of a growing international business. Reporting to the Head of Group Reporting & Control, this role offers broad exposure to group consolidation, financial reporting, IFRS accounting and finance transformation across multiple international markets. It's an excellent opportunity for an ACA/ACCA-qualified accountant who has built solid experience in group reporting or financial control and is ready to take on greater responsibility within a complex international environment.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting the Group Finance team across group consolidation and reporting
- Reviewing intercompany reporting and resolving mismatches
- Reviewing market balance sheet submissions
- Preparing accounting entries and supporting documentation for group consolidation
- IFRS accounting, including IFRS 16 and PPA
- Supporting technical accounting papers
- Supporting preparation of group financial statements
- Designing and implementing group consolidation controls
- Analysing reporting quality and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Supporting finance transformation and process improvement
- Acting as a key contact for audit queries relating to group consolidation
About you
- We're looking for an ACA/ACCA-qualified accountant with 2+ years' experience in group reporting, financial control or a similar environment
- Experience of IFRS group consolidations
- Strong month-end, journal and reconciliation experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP and INDEX/MATCH
- Good stakeholder management and communication skills
- A proactive, organised approach and willingness to take ownership
- An interest in improving processes and using technology to work more efficiently
- Experience with OneStream would be useful but isn't essential
This is a newly created position within a growing international organisation, offering the chance to gain broader group exposure and work closely with senior Group Finance leadership.
