We're looking for an Assistant Site Manager to join our HMP Glasgow team based in Royston.
Location: HMP Glasgow - Royston
Hours: 42.5 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the safe, efficient and quality-led delivery of large-scale cladding works at HMP Glasgow. You'll work closely with the Senior Site Manager and Project Manager, coordinating specialist subcontractors and helping to ensure activities are delivered safely, to the required quality standards and in line with the construction programme.
What will you be responsible for?
As an Assistant Site Manager, you'll be working within the HMP Glasgow team, supporting them in delivering large-scale cladding works across multiple buildings. Your day to day will include:
- Managing and directing specialist subcontractor partners delivering cladding works, ensuring delivery against programme, design drawings and quality standards
- Coordinating interfaces between the cladding package and other trades, raising any clashes or sequencing issues with the project team
- Carrying out toolbox talks, site inductions and daily briefings to support full compliance with Kier standards and project requirements
- Conducting regular inspections of cladding works, identifying defects or non-conformances and supporting timely resolution
- Creating, logging and filing site reports, inspection records and project paperwork accurately and within required timescales
What are we looking for?
This role of Assistant Site Manager is great for you if:
- You have experience supporting or supervising façade, external envelope or cladding works
- You hold a relevant construction qualification, such as HND, degree, SVQ or a technical trade qualification
- You have your SMSTS five-day certificate and a valid CSCS card
- You possess strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with specialist subcontractors and the wider project team
- You hold a Full driving licence and First Aid qualification
