Swelco is a trusted sub-contract manufacturer supplying precision components to OEMs and steel fabrication companies across Wales and the UK. Working alongside Altron, the UK's leading manufacturer of CCTV camera mounting equipment, we also produce components used throughout Altron's product range. Our facility in Capel Hendre houses a full suite of in-house processes including laser cutting, pressing, fabrication, welding and powder coating. We work with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium, delivering high-quality components with reliable turnaround.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced CNC Press Brake Operator to join our busy production team. You will work closely with your Line Manager to maximise machine output, improve component quality, and support continuous improvement across the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Select correct tooling for various material thicknesses
- Carry out dimensional and quality inspections
- Maintain high Health & Safety standards
- Work to company quality and ISO requirements
- Accurately record job bookings and production data
- Complete operations within allocated times
- Identify and support process improvements
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Time-served CNC Press Brake Operator
- Experience with Bystronic machines (preferred)
- Ability to work to close tolerances
- Strong understanding of parameters for different material thicknesses
- Experience working with mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel
- Overhead gantry crane training (advantageous)
- Computer literate and proficient in mathematics
- Accurate record-keeping and time logging
- Experience working within ISO and quality management systems
