We are now looking for an experienced and people-focused European Industrialisation Manager to help shape how our products move from technical development into successful, reliable manufacturing across our European operations in the UK and Germany. This is a senior technical leadership role with responsibility for building manufacturing capability, improving production processes, supporting sustainability initiatives and leading a skilled team. This is a hybrid role where you will be in the Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire Head Office 3 days a week and there will be regular travel to our Altro Germany facility in Dessau.

As European Industrial Systems Manager, you will act as the key link between our Product Development and Manufacturing teams, ensuring new products and manufacturing improvements can be successfully introduced into our production lines. You will lead a team of technical specialists and work closely with colleagues across Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Sustainability and Product Development to solve problems, improve processes and support Altro's future growth.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in manufacturing, industrialisation, process improvement or technical engineering, who enjoys working across teams and developing people. You will ideally have:

  • A degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials Science, Chemistry, Polymer Science or a related discipline
  • Significant experience in manufacturing, process development, industrialisation or product scale-up
  • Experience taking products, materials or processes from development into operational production
  • Experience leading and developing technical or engineering teams
  • A strong track record of problem solving, root cause analysis and continuous improvement
  • The ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
  • A practical, collaborative and delivery-focused approach
