At Altro, we're looking for a Business Development Consultant to join our Floors and Walls Sales team due to the retirement of a long standing member of the team. The role is based in East Anglia and will cover postcodes: PE, CB, NR, IP and CO. The successful candidate ideally lives 'on patch' and will be able to commute regularly to customers in this area. This is a full time, permanent role and comes with the additional benefits of a car allowance and company funded private medical.
This role is focused on developing and growing business through our network of flooring and walling distributors, building strong partnerships that drive sales and support customer success across the region. You'll work closely with distributor branches, their sales teams and key contractor customers, helping to identify opportunities, increase product awareness and deliver sustainable sales growth.
Working as part of a regional Business Development team, you'll collaborate with colleagues who focus on specification sales while you lead activity within the distributor and contractor market.
So, what will you be doing?
- Building and developing strong relationships with flooring and walling distributors across the territory.
- Working closely with distributor branch teams to increase awareness, demand and sales of Altro products.
- Supporting contractors and end users through the distributor network.
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities within existing and prospective distributor accounts.
- Creating and delivering a territory business plan to achieve sales and growth targets.
- Planning and managing effective customer coverage across the East Anglia region.
- Maintaining accurate customer records and activity within our CRM system.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across Sales, Customer Care and Marketing.
- Representing Altro at customer events, exhibitions, product demonstrations and training sessions.
- Gathering and sharing market intelligence, competitor activity and customer feedback.
