Altro Industries Inc operating as Altro Labels is looking for a full-time permanent graphic designer. Altro Labels is a new player in the commercial printing and packaging sector, building a new line of business for high impact product labels. We are devoted to our customer-centric approach throughout our business and are passionate about continuously improving the value to our customers. We are passionate, energetic, and committed to providing excellence in packaging solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with clients to establish the overall look, graphic elements and content of communications materials.
  • Develop the graphic elements that meet the clients' objectives.
  • Prepare sketches, layouts and graphic elements.
  • Use existing photo and illustration banks and typography guides.
  • Establish guidelines for illustrators or photographers.
  • Use advanced skills and knowledge of photo editing software to design.
  • Prepare detailed production instructions and printing specifications.
  • Co-ordinate all aspects of production for print, audio-visual or electronic materials.
  • This role might be required to act as a lead periodically based on the projects.
  • Prioritise and manage multiple tasks from concept through implementation and deliver quality outcomes on time.
  • Determine the appropriate and updated graphic software applications and methods to be used in the design based on the projects.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or College diploma in Graphic Design, Digital Design or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience.
  • Proficient in graphic design software such as InDesign and Photoshop, Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator, WordPress, HTML, CSS.
  • Experience in printing or packaging industries is an asset.
  • Knowledge of industry standard pre-press and print production techniques.
  • Highly attentive to detail, layout, colour and typography.
  • Willing to work overtime, weekends or holidays if needed.
