Job overview: The cover supervisor is required to supervise prepared lessons in the absence of the usual class teacher, maintaining the continuous learning and development of the students. On occasion, they may be required to perform form tutor responsibilities. A flexible approach is required when cover is not needed, with an expectation to undertake other administration tasks and duties as directed by the headteacher that are commensurate with a cover teacher role. Responsibilities also include invigilating internal and/or external examinations and undertaking a “duty” as part of the school’s duty system.
We offer: Free membership of the School’s Fitness Suite and Sports Hall, and a staff common room with free tea.
