The Media Officer is a pivotal member of the Altrincham FC communications team. This role is responsible for executing high-quality media output and operational logistics across all club pillars, including the Men’s First Team, Women’s Team, Academy, and the Community Trust. Working within a collaborative team of two to four, you will support the Club’s communications and marketing activities, reflecting the values and professionalism of Altrincham FC.

Key Responsibilities
- Working as part of a team responsible for the coordination of all media activity across the Stadium on home Matchdays, and supporting media operations at away games. You will rotate through key matchday roles, including:
- Home Match Coordination: Lead and oversee stadium-wide media activities, ensuring all touchpoints (Media Area, Hospitality Suite, and Fan Zone) are operational.
- Broadcasting & Commentary: Deliver live match commentary for Radio Robins, DAZN Live Stream, and Alty TV.
- Public Address & Hosting: Act as the stadium announcer or host the matchday hospitality suite and the Home Fan Zone.
- Post-Match Coverage: Conduct professional interviews with coaching staff and players for immediate digital distribution.
- Student Mentorship: Supervise and provide practical guidance to matchday media students.
- Non-Matchday Media & Communications
- Project Management: Facilitate the creation and distribution of broadcast briefs and weekly Radio Alty programming.
- Digital Content: Assist in the production of promotional films, sponsor-led video content, and commercial announcements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Host quarterly digital Q&A sessions (Zoom) with club management for RoyAlty Scheme members.
- Administrative Support: Manage communications for the Altrincham FC Monthly Draw and assist in the recruitment/development of the student volunteer pipeline.
- Event Support: Provide media coverage and logistical support for key calendar events (e.g., International Women’s Day, Non-League Day, and Club Awards).
Person Specification Requirement
- Experience: Interest or background in Journalism, Broadcasting, or Media Production.
- Communication: Highly confident verbal and written communication skills.
- Organisation: Ability to coordinate media resourcing and multiple moving parts/activities on Matchday.
- Technical: Comfortable with digital media tools and social/streaming platforms.
- Leadership: Ability to guide and mentor students and junior volunteers.
