The Data Product Manager will help shape the future of People Intelligence, driving innovation, and enable clients to make meaningful connections using Altrata data. The Data Product Manager is responsible for identifying, preparing, designing, and communicating data product requirements to the data and technical teams and for ensuring successful delivery of data products to our customers. They help bridge the desires and needs of our customers with the execution of capabilities from our technology and data teams. They must work closely with Engineering, Product, Data, Commercial and support teams to drive Data business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as subject matter expert and product lead for AltrataTM data products.
  • Utilize knowledge of AltrataTM data to support commercial and marketing departments and ensure AltrataTM data drives revenue and maximises client value.
  • Owner of the data product lifecycle from ideation and discovery, through development and launch.
  • Build and execute the data product roadmap: deconstruct epics into features and/or user stories. Groom, prioritize, manage trade‐offs through flexibility in accommodating ad hoc requests.
  • Lead the gathering of technical, as well as customer requirements, to ensure epics and user stories are detailed and empower the team to be effective and efficient.
  • Work with other Product Managers to ensure the sprints and program increments in a release represent what is needed, and that ROI is in line with expectations.
  • Work with UX team to ensure alignment between data requirements and visual designs.
  • Ensure Product leadership is aware of key issues and changes, and provide them with the right information and recommendations to resolve these.
  • Liaise between the product management, data and technology teams to ensure prioritization is recognized and understood.
  • Lead product review sessions and user acceptance testing sessions, to ensure new data meets product requirements.

Key requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data strategy or data product management.
  • Strong understanding of working with structured and unstructured data, and an understanding of the main concepts of data modelling, entity‐resolution, databases, and data management practices.
  • Ability to translate the product roadmap epics into scrum team epics, features, and/or user stories, organizing them into defined sprints and product releases.
  • Self‐starter, who is organized, detail oriented, takes initiative with minimal direction, and grasps concepts quickly.
  • Ensure the team delivers the desired customer value and customer outcomes.
  • Must be a strong team player, as well as an individual contributor.
  • Thrives when working in a fast‐paced, creative, innovative technology environment.

Desired skills

  • Has worked in data‐centric products within financial or professional services, wealth intelligence, or enterprise data platforms. Exposure to B2B SaaS data products and appreciation of client use cases.
  • Familiarity with advanced analytics, machine learning, or AI‐driven data curation. Experience with data enrichment, entity resolution, and leveraging AI to scale data research and curation is beneficial.
  • Experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner or Product Manager role, managing all stages of the software product life cycle. With strong stakeholder management, requirements gathering, prioritisation, cross‐team coordination, problem‐solving, and the ability to translate complex data issues into clear product decisions. Comfortable driving discovery, VOC, and roadmap execution.
  • Effective working with workflow, prioritization and project management tools, such as Jira, Confluence, Aha.
  • Offer guidance and mentorship to the scrum team, champion a culture of openness, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Experience working with Google Analytics, and other Business Intelligence reporting platform(s).
