Are you an experienced Programme Manager with a background in directing large-scale data and cloud modernisations within complex financial institutions? Have you managed multi-million-pound budgets while leading multi-disciplinary delivery teams across global locations? Are you looking for a fixed-term contract role taking ownership of a critical enterprise data platform rollout?

We are partnering with an established management consultancy to source a Data Programme Manager for a fixed-term contract. Embedded within a major regional delivery hub, you will oversee large-scale data initiatives designed to upgrade core infrastructure across legacy and modern systems.

As the successful candidate:

  • You will take end-to-end ownership of high-value data transformation streams, guiding multidisciplinary units across software engineering, architecture, analytics, and business change.
  • You will oversee the deployment of modern data architectures, including cloud integrations, data fabric concepts, and API frameworks.
  • You will manage key executive governance groups, aligning business leaders and technical teams around strategic milestones.
  • You will maintain strict commercial control over multi-million-pound budgets, capacity planning, and external delivery partners.
  • You will ensure all project outputs comply with strict data governance, lineage, quality controls, and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate:

  • Extensive track record of leading large-scale enterprise data, cloud, or analytics programmes (£5m+ budgets) within corporate or investment banking – required
  • Proven ability to direct large, multi-disciplinary change teams across onshore and offshore delivery models – required
  • Exceptional executive stakeholder management and communication skills – required
  • Fully committed to working 3 days per week on-site in South Yorkshire – required
  • Experience combining management consultancy leadership with embedded delivery inside tier-1 financial institutions – highly advantageous
  • Practical understanding of cloud platforms (such as GCP), data virtualisation, and business intelligence solutions – highly advantageous
