We are looking for a Power Platform Developer to join the Digital team in Altrad. As a key member of our digital solutions team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing low-code applications and process automations using Microsoft Power Platform tools — including PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI. You will also integrate AI- driven services to drive smarter business processes and data-driven decision-making.
Working within Altrad’s robust Microsoft application stack and Agile Scrum framework, you will engage across the full application lifecycle — from requirements gathering and design to deployment, optimization, and AI-enhanced innovation.
This role focuses on delivering secure, scalable business applications, automating workflows, and leveraging AI capabilities from the Microsoft Azure AI stack and Copilot integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop secure, scalable PowerApps with role-based access, offline capabilities, and responsive design.
- Build and maintain Dataverse schemas, relationships, and business rules to support app functionality.
- Integrate AI Builder models (form processing, prediction, object detection) into applications.
- Connect to Azure Machine Learning models and Cognitive Services APIs for AI-enhanced workflows.
- Develop custom connectors to extend Power Platform functionality to third-party systems.
- Implement process automation pipelines in Power Automate, including approval flows, scheduled jobs, and event-driven triggers.
- Optimise app performance with monitoring, telemetry, and analytics from Application Insights.
- Maintain documentation for app architecture, AI model usage, and data governance compliance.
- Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications for Power Platform and AI solutions.
- Assist in AI model lifecycle management — from data preparation to retraining and deployment in apps.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, Responsible AI principles, and security clearance requirements for nuclear and defence-related data.
- Provide training and guidance to key users for app adoption and AI capability usage.
- Collaborate with other developers, data engineers, and BI specialists to deliver integrated solutions.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, software Engineering or a related field.
- Proficient in PowerApps (canvas & model-driven), Power Automate, and Dataverse
- Understanding of AI Builder, Azure Cognitive Services, and AI integration in low-code apps
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and external system integration with Power Platform
- Knowledge of data modelling, security roles, and governance within Power Platform
- Analytical mindset with a focus on automation and AI-driven solutions
- Must be able to undergo full security clearance.
- Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and custom connector development.
- Knowledge of Azure Synapse, Power BI embedded analytics, and DAX.
- Familiarity with MLOps concepts and deployment of AI/ML models into production environments.
- Exposure to Git or other source control for Power Platform solutions.
