Contract type: Permanent – Full time contract
Pay rate: £28.18 basic with an addition of £6.39 per hour
Location: Hinkley point C, Bridgwater, Somerset

Weekly Working Hours & OT
Mon to Thursday 18:30-06:00. 40 min break.
O/T at x1. first 9,5 hours worked , x 1,4 after 9,5 hours worked
*Overtime will not come into effect until your first full working week*
Key Responsibilities:
- To ascertain jobrequirements from drawings or other specifications.
- To mark out and develop profiles on plate, structural steelwork and pipework.
- To produce templates for marking and/or drilling.
- To produce angled fabrications using bending or folding machinery.
- To form rolled steel sections using section rolling machinery.
- To set out plate work for structural steelwork fabrication.
- To produce and install structural steelwork fabrications.
- To produce and install plate work assemblies of square, rectangular, cylindrical or conical form.
- To produce and install heavy steelwork beams or sections
Experience
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship within a related engineering or engineering construction environment.
- Experience working within the Engineering Construction Industry on large capital plant such as thermal and nuclear power stations, oil refineries, petrochemical installations, industrial process installations and oil rigs etc
Key Requirements:
- Full Apprenticeshipin relevant or related trade and/ora Vocational Qualification at L3 (NVQ/QCF/RQF) from a recognised Awarding Body (ECITB/EAL) OR
- Ace Card or equivalentin Fabricating Steel Structures or Fabrication & Welding
- Trained to CITB Standards or OPITO. Minimum 2 (two) years general site experience on a Petro Chemical Site similar establishment
- CCNSG Safety Passport
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in plating disciplines i.e fabrication of plate and steelwork
