The Asset Management function within Altrad Babcock is a highly specialised engineering services and equipment provider, supporting customers to minimise cost, maximise return and mitigate risk through their asset integrity lifecycle. We are recruiting exceptional candidates to join our mission in becoming a fully certified Asset Management engineering services provider of both consultancy and integrated projects, across future global low carbon energy and infrastructure markets.
The Dynamic Engineering team within the Asset Management business sector provides consultancy services for noise and vibration management, primarily for upstream Oil and Gas whilst supporting the wider business across multiple industrial sectors. Within this function, we have an opportunity for a Senior Vibration Project Engineer to join us in Renfrew.
A key requirement of the role is to gather vibration and dynamic stress measurement data on client’s assets both on and offshore, ensuring a consistent high standard in the service. The Senior Project Engineer will develop relationships with customers which in turn will optimise the opportunities available and support the development of new business.
Our ideal candidate will be comfortable working at a senior level, you will have the ability to lead and execute engineering tasks related to the provision of quality & timely proposals and contract engineering analysis, for project delivery to meet the needs of Altrad Babcock customers, while also ensuring work is executed via the management of allotted tasks to quality, time and cost related to a specific project or portfolio of projects.
The new Senior Vibration Project Engineer will have strong knowledge and application of the requirements of UK/EU (or equivalent in-country) Laws and Regulations applicable to services and products associated with Competency(s), which they can use to advise clients predominantly on dynamic integrity related scenarios, typically using a broad range of industry codes and guidelines to solve routine or complex problems.
The Senior Vibration Project Engineer will be a qualified Mechanical Engineer or other applicable technical discipline with a working knowledge of some of the tools used to assess problems in the fields of dynamics and fatigue (some experience with noise and acoustics would be advantageous) and the motivation to deepen their knowledge. They will be experienced in office and site work, and ideally, come from a similar technical role within a relevant industry sector. Offshore working also forms part of the Senior Project Engineer role.
