Job Description

At Altrad, we’re not just a support services company – we’re the critical human infrastructure that keeps the UK and Ireland’s most vital industries moving. With over 10,000 talented individuals across the region, our people power the extraordinary – delivering innovative solutions that make a real impact on millions of lives.

We’re driven by ambition, creativity, and a collective commitment to excellence. At Altrad, no two days are the same, and no idea is too small. We value fresh thinking, big-picture problem solving, and people who are ready to rise to a challenge.

We’re looking for a Records Discipline Lead (HVAC) to join our collaborative and fast-paced site team within the MEH Alliance.

As our new Records Discipline Lead (HVAC), you will serve as the single point of contact for HVAC records across the site. You’ll work closely with MEH Area LTQR Coordinators and Technicians, MDT teams, Assurance Leads, and other key stakeholders. Your mission is to ensure discipline-specific LTQR (Lifetime Quality Records) deliverables are captured, verified, and completed on time, aligned with project milestones and deadlines — supporting End of Erection Status Reports (EESR).

Key Responsibilities:

  • You’ll act as the single point of contact for HVAC records across the site.
  • You’ll provide technical oversight and liaison with MEH Site Leads and Assurance Leads.
  • You’ll collaborate directly with MEH Completions Team regarding Construction Transfer Packages (CTP) and EESR.
  • You’ll capture and perform technical review of HVAC-specific records to support Area LTQR Coordinators in delivering complete and compliant LTQRs.
  • You’ll manage HVAC-specific Level of Documentation (LOD) across project areas; track installation status, asset verifications, and completions.
  • You’ll ensure full understanding of project Scope of Work, Contract Specifications, Nuclear Standards, and all relevant documentation.
  • You’ll verify AS9 IWOCs and track task completion upon A-Acceptance in Teamcenter.

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

  • You pay attention to detail and have a sense of urgency for delivery.
  • You’re confident in stakeholder engagement, able to liaise with a variety of disciplines and teams.
  • You have a sound understanding of nuclear project environments and high-integrity documentation.
  • You’re committed to maintaining quality and compliance across HVAC scope and records.
  • You have a collaborative approach — you're just as comfortable leading discussions as you are diving into technical detail.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Essential:

  • You have recognised qualifications in HVAC or Mechanical Engineering: ONC, HNC, HND, City & Guilds or equivalent.
  • You have successfully completed a competency-based interview as per MEH onboarding requirements.
  • You have excellent IT and EDMS (Electronic Document Management System) skills, including metadata management.
  • You have experience in QA/QC environments within nuclear or safety-critical industries.

Desirable:

  • ACI (Air Conditioning Inspector) or Certified Ventilation Inspector (CVI) qualifications.
  • Beneficial NDT qualifications (VT, PT, RT Level 2).
  • Experience working on major infrastructure or nuclear projects.
  • Familiarity with Alliance Agreement Projects and multi-disciplinary team coordination.
  • Knowledge of Teamcenter and document tracking processes.

What we offer:

We know that great people do great work when they’re supported, valued, and inspired. That’s why we offer:

  • A competitive salary
  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
  • The chance to work on one of the UK’s most ambitious nuclear projects
  • A culture that rewards ingenuity, fosters personal growth, and celebrates success
