Job Description

At Altrad, we don’t just build. We document, verify, and assure every step—because in nuclear construction, precision and traceability matter just as much as concrete and steel. We’re looking for a Records Discipline Lead (Coatings) to play a critical role in our completion journey, supporting the accurate and timely delivery of Life Time Quality Records (LTQRs) for coatings across the HPC site.

As our Records Discipline Lead (Coatings), you’ll serve as the site-wide focal point for coatings-related records, interfacing with MEH Area LTQR Coordinators and Technicians, the MEH completions team, and other key stakeholders. Your mission: to ensure discipline-specific records are captured, verified, and processed in line with project milestones—contributing to successful End of Erection Status Reports (EESR) and the seamless close-out of installation scope.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You’ll act as the single point of contact for coatings discipline records across the site.
  • You’ll provide technical expertise and liaison support to MEH site teams, Assurance Leads, and stakeholders.
  • You’ll collaborate closely with the MEH completions team to ensure readiness for Completions Turnover Packages (CTP) and End of Erection Status Reports (EESR).
  • You’ll ensure discipline-specific LTQRs are captured, reviewed, and resolved in a timely manner to support processing by Area LTQR Coordinators.
  • You’ll manage and track List of Documents (LOD) for coatings across all areas, ensuring asset installation is properly recorded and verified.
  • You’ll stay familiar with the Scope of Work, Contract Specifications, Nuclear Standards, drawings, and procedures related to your discipline.
  • You’ll carry out AS9 IWOC (Installation Work Order Completion) verification and track task progress following A-Acceptance of LTQRs in Teamcenter.

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

  • You have strong coatings discipline expertise backed by industry-recognised qualifications.
  • You’re process-driven and have attention to detail.
  • You’re able to work collaboratively across multiple teams, disciplines, and stakeholders.
  • You’re confident in navigating electronic document systems, nuclear documentation standards, and completions processes.
  • You’re able to work with tight deadlines, solving issues proactively as they arise.
  • You’re a great communicator —able to bridge the gap between technical experts, site teams, and document control functions.
  • You have experience working on large, complex projects, ideally within nuclear or other safety-critical sectors.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • NACE Level 2
  • ICORR Level 2
  • ONC/HNC/HND/C&G in a relevant discipline, or a recognised apprenticeship in coatings or related field
  • Excellent IT skills, with experience using Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) and metadata structures.
  • Experience working in a quality assurance/control environment—preferably within the nuclear industry or a comparable safety-critical field.
  • Comfortable working in multi-cultural teams, with a track record of resolving issues across diverse stakeholder groups.
