Estimator Location: Glasgow (hybrid) Contract type: Permanent

We are the leading provider of infrastructure services. With over 11,000 talented people, we provide the full spectrum of critical engineering and construction services for industries both onshore and offshore.

The role requires an experienced Estimator who is comfortable estimating all aspects of construction from breaking ground through to final competition. This role will require working alongside project managers and the wider project team to produce robust underpinned estimates with the primary focus on mechanical and engineering works.

The position will be based in Glasgow, on a hybrid basis (2/3 days every other week required on site).

  • Working closely with Project Managers to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Assess material, labour, and plant requirements in compilation of the project estimate.
  • Produce quantities for building works to assist the pricing of a project, minimising costs where possible while maximising value.
  • Ability to simplify technical data and scope to build estimates with client focused work breakdown structure.
  • Liaise with other Project Controls disciplines to prepare estimates for governance and assurance purposes.
  • Monitor project costs throughout the duration of the project and provide regular updates to stakeholders, responsible for the ongoing collation of benchmarking data.

Strong background in construction with mechanical and engineering estimating.

Strong IT skills with Microsoft Office proficiency skills.

Detail-oriented and organised, with the ability to manage projects and deadlines simultaneously.
